Luke Dashjr is the Chairman and CTO of OCEAN, a Bitcoin mining pool he co-founded and launched in 2023.  As the longest tenured Bitcoin Core developer, Luke has made a lot of contributions to the Bitcoin space, including much of the technology that makes mining work today. In 2011, he wrote and started one of the earliest mining pools, Eligius, named after the patron saint of gold miners. He also maintains the enhanced Bitcoin full node software called Bitcoin Knots, which includes many advanced features for Bitcoin mining.
