Mark Artymko is the President and Co-founder of OCEAN, a Bitcoin mining pool committed to advancing decentralization and transparency in the mining ecosystem. Launched in 2023, OCEAN builds on the legacy of Luke Dashjr's iconic Eligius pool (2011–2017). In just one year, OCEAN has redefined transparency standards and introduced DATUM, an open-source protocol empowering miners to independently construct block templates—a significant step forward for decentralization.

Before Bitcoin, Mark spent 18 years as an electrical engineer, specializing in the design, construction, and operation of high-voltage power systems across Canada and the USA. His expertise focused on integrating large industrial loads into the electrical grid—a skillset that uniquely positions him to understand Bitcoin mining's role in energy systems.

A proud father of seven, Mark is not only a dedicated Bitcoin maximalist but also an outspoken advocate for Bitcoin mining's potential to revolutionize and stabilize global energy infrastructure.
