Tom Luongo
Gold, Goats, and Guns
Tom is a former research chemist specializing in data quality and process improvement turned financial, economic, and geopolitical analyst. His work is a unique amalgam of the physical, mathematical, and philosophical seen through the lens of the Austrian School of Economics.
A contrarian by nature, Tom asks questions others do not. He tends to be on the cutting edge of market changes, for example, writing about bitcoin in its infancy. Tom navigates the political imperatives of world leaders’ policy and the realities of global market incentives.
Because of this, his global-macro focus goes beyond the numbers to reframe the news flow into something far more coherent, predictive, and actionable. His work is published weekly on his blog, Gold, Goats 'n Guns, and found regularly on sites such as Zerohedge.com, Lewrockwell.com and translated into foreign languages around the world.
He lives in a house he built with his wife of over 30 years on a small farm in northern Florida, where he raises a few goats just in case.
