Tom Robins

Founder and President of the Oklahoma Innovative and Technology Alliance (OITA)

Tom Robins is the President of Solid Foundation Consulting and is the Founder and President of the Oklahoma Innovative and Technology Alliance. (OITA)

OITA is the home and voice for innovation and technology companies with headquarters in Oklahoma. Members are committed to investing in Oklahoma innovation and technology as they create jobs while diversifying and growing the economy. OITA engages and educates policymakers on the opportunities and challenges for innovation and technology in Oklahoma.

Tom also facilitates Oklahoma's Autonomous Vehicle Working Group formed in 2018 by the Governor of Oklahoma and Oklahoma Secretary of Transportation. Participating members represent state agencies, county, legislative, city, and private sector leaders, all of whom are interested in learning how the state can best prepare for autonomous vehicle technology deployment.

Before founding Solid Foundation Consulting, Tom served as the Deputy Secretary of Energy for Oklahoma. In this role, Tom worked with the public and state energy-related boards, agencies, and commissions to help implement the Governor's state energy plan. He also served as the Governors representative to the Interstate Oil and Gas Compact Commission, the Southern States Energy Board, and the Western Governors Association.

Previously, Tom was a Manager of Government Affairs at Chesapeake Energy, where he managed all employee political engagement on issues impacting the energy industry and built a multimillion-dollar corporate PAC campaign.

Before moving to Oklahoma, Tom worked as the Coordinating Producer for Media and Broadcast Partnerships at George Washington University. In this role, Tom was the producer for Politics: From the Nation's Capital hosted by CBS Radio News veteran Sam Litzinger on XM Satellite and Washington Post Radio and The Kalb Report taped in front of a studio audience at the National Press Club hosted by award-winning journalist Marvin Kalb.

Before GW, Tom worked in Washington D.C. on the United State Senate Judiciary Committee staff, assisting with the confirmation hearings of Chief Justice John Roberts and Justice Samuel Alito to the United States Supreme Court.

Tom holds a B.A. in History from Utah State University and an M.A. in Political Management from George Washington University. He lives in Edmond, Oklahoma, with his wife and three active boys who all loudly cheer on the Oklahoma City Thunder.
